On Tuesday evening the club held its 4th competition in perfect fishing conditions and light winds. 10 club members signed on and 9 weighed in fish consisting of pouting, dogfish, conger eel and black bream. A total of 20 fish were caught, weighed, measured and released back into the sea gently and as quickly as possible for a total weight of 14lbs 10-1/2oz. Best fish of the evening was a dogfish of 2lb 0oz caught by Derek Slack.

On Tuesday evening 21st January the club held its 2nd Shingle Bank League competition and the weather for the evening was fair. 10 club members signed on and 6 weighed in fish consisting of dogfish and pouting and 6 fish in total were weighed for a total weight of 5 lb 3 oz. The 2-best fish of the evening were 1st a dogfish of 1 lb 10 oz caught by Rory Lancaster and 2nd also a dogfish of 1 lb 9-5/8 oz caught by Malcolm Stote.
