Danny Panks has a good evening.

On Wednesday evening the 23rd May we held a competition in which 17 club members signed in. The weather on the night was a very light wind with showers, which left a flat calm sea, but sadly a lot of weed.
Fish caught on the evening were dogfish, smoothhound, undulate and thornback rays and black bream. A total of 17 fish were caught for a total weight of 28lbs 5.2oz. Only edible fish are retained other fish are weighed and then released.
Best fish of the night was an undulate ray of 4lb 14oz caught by Danny Panks who also caught the 2nd best fish of the evening a black bream of 1lb 14.6oz.

John Tharme has a good win on the night.
On Tuesday evening the 24th April we held a competition and 12 club members signed on and 5 weighed in fish consisting of dogfish, pouting and pollack.
The best fish of the evening was a dogfish weighing 1lb 12.4oz caught by Paul Dibden. 8 fish were weighed in for a total weight of 6lb 4.8oz and only edible fish were retained. All others were weighed and released.

On Tuesday of the 27th March we held a competition and the weather on the night was dry nwith a south/west wind, and the water very dirty. 13 club members signed on and only 4 weighed in fish, which consisted of pouting and rockling. 4 fish were caught for a total weight of 0-10.8oz. The best fish of the competition was a pouting of 0-3.8oz caught by Gavin Sloper.

1st Gavin Sloper 1 fish for 0-3.8oz, 2nd Ollie Hopkins 1 fish for 0-2.8oz, 3rd Chris Ellis 1 fish for 0-2.6oz, 4th Keith Panks 1 fish for 0-1.6oz.
Terry Kempton has a win.
On Monday evening the 26th February we held a competition and the weather on the night was bitterly cold with a temperature of - 4 and a light north east wind which left the sea flat, calm and with clear waters.
9 club members signed on and 3 weighed in fish consisting of whiting, pouting and rockling. As it was so cold the competition was shortened to 2.5hrs.
Results:
1st Terry Kempton 2 fish for 9.2oz, 2nd Gavin Sloper 1 fish for 5.6oz, 3rd Keith Panks 1 fish for 3oz.
Malcolm Stote start the year of with a good win.
On Thursday evening the 11th January we held a competition and the weather for the evening could not have been better clear, calm with a light northly wind. 16 club members signed on and 14 weighed in 58 fish for a total weight of 62lbs 2oz. Fish caught consisted of undulate rays, rocklings, poutings and dogfish.
The best fish of the evening was an undulate ray weighing 12lbs 6oz caught by Malcolm Stote. Other notable fish caught were an undulate ray of 10lbs6.2oz caught by Danny Panks and a dogfish of 1lb 14.8oz caught by Paul Watson.
